UAV registration: Supercam among the first to receive RFID-chips

Record keeping system of unmanned vehicles developed by FSUE "ZaschitaInfoTrans" is aimed at ensuring the Federal law № 291-FZ "On Amendments to the Air Code of the Russian Federation".

FSUE "ZaschitaInfoTrans" is a state company responsible for the Integrated Government Information System of Transport Security. It has developed a methodology for the identification of small drones which need to be registered. RFID-chip will be put on the drone, and this will allow to collect information about the drone and its owner at a distance of up to 300 m. "Unmanned systems" Group and FSUE "ZaschitaInfoTrans" concluded an agreement in order to promote the record keeping system.

The purpose of this agreement is testing of the UAV record keeping system and studying the opportunities of RFID-technology. UAV registration procedure is carried out on the electronic portal of the recording operator, in conjunction with the purchase of the UAV in the trade organization-distributor.

After registration, the owner receives an identification mark. It contains the recording data, and must be placed on the body of an unmanned vehicle prior to flight.
